FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE

REPORTS TO: USA Sales Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Effectively sign new dealers and close sales. Present the product and brand with technical accuracy consistent with marketing strategies. • Develop new business opportunities and maintain existing dealer relationships within assigned territory consistent with company goals while maximizing market potential. • Provide professional customer service and respond timely customer needs and all issues. Calls from dealers or potential customers must be returned within 24 hours. • Develop and present dealer clinics on how our products are designed and manufactured, communicating the features and benefits for their customers. • Work with all levels of retail employees (buyers & sales staff) to establish brand loyalty. This will include a range of activities from setting up displays, attending retail running or marketing events, organizing and working in-store promotions. • Provide a monthly territory call and visit schedule to the USA Sales Manager. • Contact all accounts every 2 – 4 weeks during the selling season, key accounts should be seen every 2 weeks. • Provide Sales management with written status reports as requested for the territory per established guidelines. • Provide territory sales forecast as required by Sales Manager. • Maintain up-to-date territory and customer records on all accounts. • Assist dealers with in-store merchandising of Somnio products. • Coordinate advertising and promotional plans within territory to maximize use of available promotional budget to increase sales. • Attend promotional events, selected races, and trade shows as requested by Sales Manager. • Attend technical product and sales training, as requested by Sales Manager.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • College degree or equivalent experience preferred. • Direct sales experience, preferably within specialty running retail. • Technical running or pedorthic footwear product knowledge and expertise. • Sales ability, including successful negotiation, presentation, and public speaking skills. • Self-motivated and self directed; must have the ability to work without close supervision. • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and transportation.

COMPENSATION: • Combination of base salary, bonus, and commission incentive. • Travel related expenses will be covered by company.
